What are the basic attributes that you need to have to become an effective leader?
Some of these can be taking initiative, maintaining a positive outlook, being and putting
consistent efforts for bringing change. What other attributes can you think of?
Besides these the head should have knowledge of village environment where the school situated,background of students,strong and weak points of teachers,content knowledge of different subjects for effective class monitoring and should well prepared mentally for any incident /accidental situation that may arise in school.

DeleteThe basic attributes we need to have to become an effective leader are taking initiative, maintaining a positive outlook being self motivated, putting consistent effort for bringing ING changes, apart from these the attributes of an effective leader are sharing their vision, lead by example, demonstrate integrity, communicate effectively, make hard decision, recognise success, empower others, motivate and inspire. Main characteristics of a good leader are ability to influence others, tranceparency, encourage risk taking, innovation, value ethics and integrity, act decisively, balance hard truths with optimism. A good leader of school should understand about children, staff(teachers, teaching and non teaching) members of community having Co operation and good relation.

He should do time to time interaction among the villagers and the parents, discuss the problem with the elderly people of the area.

As a school teacher I am Sankar Pujahari tries my best to apply the understanding of the influence of school leadership on student learning in my school that improve teaching and learning relationship between teacher and students, among students establishing classroom routines and expectations that effectively direct student energy engaging the students. It helps to Foster both positive and motivating culture for staff and a high quality experience for learners. Direct, indirect and opposite effects of leadership on student learning account for about a quarter of total school effects. Showing leadership in my school I am going through taking charge and making mark on my school. maintaining good humour and optimism, learning from my mistake,, being confident, considering my strength, being a people person. To be an effective leader he /she should be like a master key. In other words he /she should have broader ideas in every fields relating to school which will help him to guide other. He/she should set examples through actions not only on order giving. Another important characteristic is that he/she should be amicable by nature. Such character opens even harder to harder gate to access. He/she should keep updating his knowledge to be more innovative.

There are many qualities those we need to be an effective Head of any institution. Some are --
1) Head should be pious towards his/her duties.
2)Head should be punctual.
3)He/She should be benevolent towards all.
4)Head should teach good things towards duties to his/her upcoming generation.

ReplyDeleteFirst a teacher should be broadminded. His personality should not so rigid or so flexible. He or she should prepare themselves for any challenge . He or she should act like a guide to the students and should know case study of every students. Sharing and caring should be his or her moto.
